Doctor Profile

Jason Thorn D.V.M.

Jason is a 2002 Graduate of Ohio State University of Veterinary Medicine. Joined and purchased Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 2007. Dr. Thorn is married and has one daughter. He has a cat and a dog and currently resides in Bulter Township.

 

Herb Betts D.V.M.

Herb is a 1969 graduate of Ohio State University of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Betts joined Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 1977 as co-owner. He is married and has 4 children and currently resides in Vandalia.

Len Tinney D.V.M.

Dr. Tinney retired in December of 2016. Len is a 1970 graduate of Ohio State University of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Tinney established Dixie Veterinary Clinic in July of 1972. He is married and has 2 children and currently resides in Butler Township.

Gabrielle Davis D.V.M.

Dr. Davis is a 2002 graduate of Ohio State University of Veterinary Medicine. She is married and has one daughter. She has 2 dogs and 2 cats. Dr. Davis joined the practice in 2015 and resides in Bulter County.

Carolyn Powell: RVT/Clinic Manager

Carolyn graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1989 with a Veterinary Technician degree. She started at Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 1988. Carolyn is married and has a daughter. She has 5 dogs, 2 cats, 3 horses and a variety of other farm animals.

 

Kiley House: RVT

Kiley graduated in 2013 from Miami-Jacobs College. She worked in the veterinary field since 2010. Kiley is a proud mother of a daughter and a son. She has a cat and 2 dogs.

Miranda Coppersmith: Receptionist

Miranda joined Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 2000. She is married and has a dog. Miranda enjoys the outdoors, including birdwatching.

Nancy Claiborne: Receptionist/RVT

Nancy graduated from Colonel White High School in 1974 and joined Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 1978. She has 2 daughters and a grandson. She also has and loves her multiple cats.

Gail Jackson: Veterinary Assistant

Gail joined Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 2007.She is a lifetime resident and graduate of Vandalia. Gail is married and has 2 children and 6 grandchilden. She is a proud owner of 3 dogs and 2 cats.

Christina Michaels: Veterinary Assistant

Christina has been at DVC as a vet assistant since 2015. She went to CTC for animal science. She has 2 cats and 2 dogs and one turtle.

Marilee Koogler: RVT

Marilee graduated from Sinclair's Vet tech program in 2016. She started with us in 2016 also. She owns a Great Dane named Dexter.

Marisela Alvarado: Receptionist

She started with us in 2017, recently moved from Texas. She is married and lives in Vandalia with their 2 dogs and one cat.

Terynn Thompson: RVT

Terynn graduated from Sinclair Community College in 2014. She joined us in 2016. She has 2 dogs and one cat. She enjoys crafting.

Cheyenne Lawson: Veterinary Assistant

Cheyenne is in vet tech school at Miami Jacobs and will graduate in the fall. She has a daughter and one dog and 3 cats.

Stacie Hill: RVT

Stacie graduated from Columbus State in 2016. She worked here as an assistant while in high school, then went off to college and the US ARMY and then became a vet tech and returned to us in 2016. She has one dog named Bogart.

Gwen Courtney: Receptionist

Gwen joined Dixie Veterinary Clinic in December of 2009. She is married and has 3 daughters and a dog.

Aubrey Copeland: Veterinary Assistant

Aubrey joined Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 2001. She is married and has 2 daughters. Aubrey has 2 dogs and multiple cats.

Sara Collins: Receptionist

Sara joined Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 2010. She is married and has 2 daughters and 2 sons. She has 2 dogs and 3 cats.

Marcia Jordan: Receptionist

Marcia joined Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 2012. She has worked in the veterinary field for over 28 years and can't imagine life without being around pets. Marcia is married and has 3 children and 3 grandchildren. She has a dog and 4 grand-dogs.

Sue Leber: RVT

Sue retired in December of 2016. Sue is a registered Veterinary Technician. She received her licensed from The Columbus Technical Institute in 1975. She joined Dixie Veterinary Clinic in 1978. Sue is married, has 2 sons and 2 cats.
